Clicker
Television networks have been slow to adapt to changes in people’s viewing habits. While networks are slowly accepting the fact that they need to be streaming their content on the web, Canada still lags behind the U.S. when it comes to providing online access to TV and movies. Not only is some of the content from networks blocked because of location restrictions in our country, popular video streaming services such as Hulu are not accessible, either. Recently out of private beta testing, Clicker is a new website that aggregates video content from around the web. It describes itself as “one part directory, one part search engine, one part wiki, one part entertainment guide and one part digital video recorder.” Clickers’ database currently indexes 450,000 episodes from 7,000 different shows. It also lists tens of thousands of movies and 50,000 music videos. While using it might just raise your frustration level when you find shows you can’t watch because you are Canadian, if you’re willing to get around restrictions with a geo-proxy, a world of online video is at your finger tips.
Awkward Yearbook Signatures
Before the advent of social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, yearbooks were seen as an important way to document and collect memories from high school. Almost as important as what was in the actual yearbook was what got written on its inside covers. “Every year, thousands of things get written in people’s yearbooks. Some of them are heartfelt and will stand the test of time. Most of them are not.” Awkward Yearbook Signatures is a crowdsourced collection of memories that are probably best forgotten.

Video of the Week: Brett Favre Mic’d Up
A few months ago, Brett Favre was retired from football and wondering what to do next. Now, the 40-year-old quarterback is leading the Minnesota Vikings to one of their best starts with a 9-1 record.
