Hi-Fi Club
108 Osborne, 2nd Floor
$7 before 11. $10 after 11.
Back for the second time, red-hot remix stars L.A. Riots will bring a hard drive full of unreleased tracks that should go over well with local hipsters. With high-profile gigs lined up at SXSW in Austin and the Winter Music Conference in Miami, this will probably be the last time you see this DJ duo for a while.
Boyz II Men
w/ special guests
Burton Cummings Theatre
364 Smith Street
$42 - $52 at Ticketmaster
Remember ’90s new jack swing stars Boyz II Men? Although they might be the best-selling R and B male vocal group of all time, with five #1 hits to their credit, they have been off the radar since 2000’s Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya. While Michael McCary has retired from performing and the trio might not be all over MuchMusic, MTV and the radio like the used to be, they still can belt out hits like End of the Road, I’ll Make Love to You and Water Runs Dry.
Other events to check out: Chess Club (Saturday - Park Theatre), dd/mm/yy (Monday - The Albert) and That 1 Guy (Wednesday - The Pyramid)
